Brian Stuart is in his early sixties, single and lives an active lifestyle. He lives in a 3-bedroom, 2 bath ranch home
in Porter’s Neck, NC. His home is simply decorated and he is partial to yellows and golds with a Western flair in
accessories as well as Historical English elements. You will see in the plan that the kitchen, dining room and
family room share the same space.
He does not cook a lot and has a “Man Cave” in another building where he spends time with friends for most of
his entertaining. When he does any meal prep (a couple of times a week), his cooking is fairly simple but he
prepares plenty for leftovers (think crock pot!). His kitchen, dining and family rooms are used when his daughter
and grandchildren come to visit. Ice-cream is a favorite snack and enjoys making desserts of that with his family.
He also enjoys lots of fresh vegetables and fruit and will can fruit when it is in season. Recently, he has
discovered ‘mixology’ and would be interested in your thought for a small area to suit that purpose.
He is looking for an organized kitchen space with “function over fancy”. He utilizes several counter top
appliances - Espresso is a treat for him and would like to prepare it at home. Also, his microwave is on the
countertop where he likes it.
